Car Parking FAQs

Some of the most frequently asked questions about parking at Newcastle Airport are answered below. Contact us at [email protected] if you have another question you'd like the answer to.

I’m going away for a week or more. Where should I park?

All of our car parks are suitable for longer stays, with Long Stay and Premium Meet & Greet car parks being our most popular. Long Stay is our best value car park, however Premium Meet & Greet is perfect if you are travelling with family or if you prefer to be closer to the terminal. If you want to make your trip even easier, why not book into our Premium Fast Track car park and benefit from Fast Track through security.

I'm only a way for a day. Which car park is best for me?

Both the Short Stay 1 and Premium Fast Track car parks are perfect for 1 day stays. They are also our closest car parks to the terminal. Premium Fast Track customers will also benefit from complimentary Security Fast Track passes, making the trip even easier.

I’m going for a weekend trip. Where should I park?

We’d suggest the Short Stay 1 Car Park. It’s right outside the airport entrance so you can get straight in the car when you get back. Ask about the Short Stay Weekender Offer when you book.

Do you provide motorcycle parking?

For Motorcycle Parking we advise customers to use the Long Stay car park when parking for periods of 24 hours and above. Please give our call centre a call on 0191 214 4341 for a no obligation quote.

For parking periods below 24 hours, we advise the Short Stay 2 Car Park, which also provides a free 15 minute parking period

I’m coming to drop off a friend or family member. Where should I park?

You’ve got two options: the Express Car Park or the Short Stay 2 Car Park. The Express Car Park is right outside the terminal, and costs £3 for the first 10 minutes. Just drive in, drop off your passenger, and head out again. Easy!

Alternatively you can use the Short Stay 2 Car Park – it’s about two to three minutes’ walk from the terminal, and the first 15 minutes in this car park is free.

I'm dropping a passenger off on a motorbike, where should I go?

Please use the car parks as normal. You can enter the Short Stay 2 Car Park and receive 15 minutes free to drop off your passenger, or you can use our Express Car Park to drop off your passengers right outside the terminal front.

I’m picking someone up. Where should they meet me?

You’ve got two options: the Express Car Park or the Short Stay 2 Car Park. The Express Car Park is right outside the terminal, and costs £3 for the first 10 minutes. Just drive in, pick up your waiting passenger, and head out again. Easy!

Alternatively you can use the Short Stay 2 Car Park – it’s about two to three minutes’ walk from the terminal, and the first 15 minutes in this car park is free.

I’m picking someone up, but I don’t know how long I’ll have to wait for them. Where should I park?

In this case we’d suggest the Short Stay 1 Car Park. It’s right outside the airport entrance, so you can easily go inside and have a coffee while you wait for your passenger.

I want the parking option that saves me the most time. Where should I park?

The Short Stay 1 Car Park is directly opposite the terminal for convenient and secure parking, ideal for a few hours to several days. Alternatively our new Premium Fast Track car park is located right outside the terminal, just 30 metres from airport check-in. The facility includes extra wide spaces and Fast Track through security search.
