Newcastle International Training Academy, the specialist training provider based at Newcastle Airport, is celebrating the busiest start to a year in its history after welcoming a record 875 customers from around the world.
The Academy has a strong international reputation for delivering high-quality, industry-leading training for aviation, industrial firefighting and emergency response professionals and is the only training provider of its kind in the North of England.
Its world-class training facilities, including a full‑sized aircraft firefighting rig and a three-storey offshore platform rig with a helideck, enable delegates to develop their critical emergency response skills in realistic, high-pressure scenarios.
The business’ specialist courses are delivered by highly qualified and experienced instructors who provide bespoke training to meet customers’ needs.

So far this year, the Academy has welcomed a record 875 customers from airports and businesses from across the UK and Ireland and around the world, including the Caribbean, Bermuda, Egypt, Germany and Portugal.
The strong growth has been driven by the Academy’s diverse range of courses, including aviation firefighting, fire warden, health and safety and first aid.
Demand for offshore and industrial firefighting training continues to grow, while the Academy has also expanded its external training provision.
This includes the delivery of EV Awareness and Revalidation of Competence courses for UK airports, helping to support safe operations and uphold the highest industry standards.
Victoria Woodhouse, Commercial Training Manager at Newcastle International Training Academy, said: “It’s been a fantastic start to the year and welcoming a record number of customers reinforces Newcastle International Training Academy’s position as a leading global provider of specialist firefighting and safety training.
