“To meet the strong customer demand and ensure we continue to deliver exceptional services, we are investing in our people and growing our teams with a wide variety of roles available that suit many different skill sets and experience levels.
“Newcastle Airport is a fantastic place to work and I would encourage anyone looking for work or interested in a career change to keep an eye on our website and social media channels over the coming weeks and months as the roles are advertised.”
Alongside welcoming a record number of passengers, the Airport is offering its largest ever flight schedule this year with direct services to over 80 destinations and more than 300 onward connections worldwide.
Further airline investment will see routes to brand new destinations, including Lisbon, Nice, Porto, Palermo (Sicily) and Preveza, while easyJet will open its new base at the Airport in March.
To support this growth, almost £60m is being invested across the Airport site, including extending the terminal to create a larger departure lounge and an expanded international arrivals baggage hall.
