easyJet has announced the launch of a new route from Newcastle to Tenerife in the Canary Islands, with seats now on sale.
Flights will take off from 1 August 2026 and will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, providing customers in the North East, Southern Scotland, North Yorkshire and Cumbria with even more choice for their 2026 holidays.
easyJet holidays has also launched packages to Tenerife, complete with flights, hotel, transfers and 23kg luggage.
easyJet’s new three-aircraft base is set to open in March 2026 and this has enabled the airline to further expand its Newcastle network, with a total of 12 new routes that have been put on sale this year with flights starting from 22 March 2026.
This means that in addition to 8 key domestic and international services the airline already operated from Newcastle, easyJet now offers customers flights on 20 routes across the UK, Europe and North Africa.
Brand new services for next year include Newcastle to Antalya, Corfu, Dalaman, Enfidha, Faro, Malta, Prague, Reus, Rhodes, Sharm-El-Sheikh, and the only route connecting Newcastle to Nice.
