Lost Baggage
Swissport act as Handling Agents for many airlines at Newcastle International Airport. Baggage should be reported missing in person at the time of your arrival, and passengers will be supplied a unique Property Irregularity Report (PIR) reference number once they have reported their item of hold luggage as missing.
Your PIR reference is a combination of 5 letters and 5 digits, example: NCLZZ12345. If you haven't received a PIR reference number within 48 hours of arriving at the Airport, we recommend you contact your airline.
If you have received a PIR number, you can track the status of your lost luggage on your airline's website of using the link below. You will require your PIR reference number to track your baggage. Swissport will be in touch as soon as possible regarding delivery of your baggage.
