Newcastle International Airport

Getting Here

There are plenty of ways to reach Newcastle International Airport—whether you’re driving, taking public transport, or arriving by taxi.

By Car

Disabled parking bays are available in the following car parks:

  • Express
  • Short Stay 1
  • Short Stay 2
  • Long Stay
  • Premium Long Stay

Assistance points are located near the accessible bays in the Express and Short Stay 1 car parks. These are linked directly to our Passenger Services team, so help can be requested when you arrive.

By Special Adapted Vehicle

If you’re arriving in a specially adapted vehicle (over 2 metres in height) and carrying a disabled passenger, you’ll be directed to our minibus or van parking area.

When using the pay-on-foot machines, simply press the assistance button to speak with our car park team—they’ll ensure you're charged the Express Car Park rate.

By Bus or Metro

Local buses are fully accessible, with kneeling suspension and ramps for easy wheelchair access.

The Tyne & Wear Metro provides quick, direct service to the airport. The station is adjacent to the terminal.

For more on accessibility features on Metro and bus services, you can find up-to-date information on their websites:
