We want to make the security check as easy as possible for you and your Assistance Dog.
When you get to security, just put your personal stuff in the trays like the Security Officer asks. Your dog can keep their harness on during this part.
You’ll then be asked to step through the body scanner. For safety reasons, your dog can’t go through the scanner with you, so a Security Officer will look after them while you’re scanned. If you prefer, you can skip the scanner and have a full-body hand check instead — this can even be done in a private room where your dog can stay with you.
After your scan or search, you’ll sit in a waiting area while your dog’s harness gets a quick check and swab for security.
Once that’s done, you’re all set to continue your journey!
Don’t forget to grab all your belongings from the trays before you head off. And if you need any help at all, just ask our Assisted Travel or Security staff — they’re happy to assist.
