Greggs reopens at Newcastle Airport with fresh new look and delicious new menu additions after major refurbishment
Greggs at Newcastle Airport has reopened with a fresh new look and a delicious range of new items on its menu after undergoing a major refurbishment.
The leading food-on-the-go retailer, open 24/7 in the Airport’s check-in area, has had a complete makeover to improve the customer experience ahead of a busy winter season.
Customers can now enjoy a delicious new range of hot menu items including Chicken Burgers, Fish Finger Sandwiches and hot wraps, adding even more choice and variety to the menu.
The new, hot menu is being served alongside a range of refreshing over-ice drinks including the Iced Salted Caramel Latte, Strawberry Lemonade and Mango & Strawberry Cooler.
The exciting new line-up offers the perfect pick-me-up for passengers travelling through the Airport this winter and joins Greggs’ existing range of freshly prepared favourites, such as the popular Sausage Roll, Steak Bake and delicious vegan alternatives.
Customers can also take advantage of value deals throughout the day, from a breakfast roll or baguette deal served until 11am every day for those early starts, and a post-4pm pizza deal for a teatime treat.
The shop’s refurbishment comes after the Airport was recently recognised as the Best in the World at the Routes World Conference 2024 in Bahrain.
Dean Ward, Director of Commercial at Newcastle Airport, said: “We are delighted Greggs has reopened its store at Newcastle Airport following a major refurbishment.
“Greggs has always been a valued part of the Airport experience and we are confident the new and improved menu, paired with the shop’s fresh new look, will be hugely popular with our customers.”
Gillian Long, Retail Operations Director, said: “We’re excited to be welcoming customers to our new and improved shop at Newcastle Airport. We look forward to providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their Greggs favourites.”
This winter, the Airport and its business partners are investing £20m in the Airport’s terminal and infrastructure.
This includes a £17m project to resurface the Airport's runway and a further £3m will be spent on improving the departure lounge experience and retail outlets.
