easyJet's new route to Paris takes flight from Newcastle Airport
easyJet is celebrating the launch of its new route from Newcastle Airport to Paris.
The first flight departed Newcastle Airport on Sunday 27 October and the new service will operate up to six days a week - with fares available from just £27.99* one way at easyJet.com.
The flight will provide passengers flying from the North East Airport with even more choice when looking to visit one of Europe’s most beautiful city break destinations.
With convenient departure times and a total flight duration of just 1 hour 45 minutes, passengers can make the most of their time and quickly immerse themselves in the city – exploring its iconic landmarks, see the world-famous cabaret at the Moulin Rouge or take a trip to Disneyland Paris.
The new route is one of several new additions this winter to the low-cost airline’s network from Newcastle Airport, which was recently named the ‘Best in the World’ at the World Routes Conference 2024 and retained the global ‘Best Airport’ award in the 0-5 million passengers category for the second year running.
On top of the year-round services to Belfast and Bristol, new flights to Amsterdam began operating twice weekly in September and will increase to daily from the end of October.
Flights to Geneva in Switzerland will increase to three times weekly across some of the winter season, while a new weekly service to Lyon in France will operate during January and February 2025 - with both destinations providing more flight options for passengers during the ski season.
Richard Knight, Chief Operating Officer at Newcastle Airport, said: “We are delighted easyJet is continuing to expand its route network from the Airport and it is fantastic to see the start of the airline’s flights to Paris this week.
“The French capital has been a popular destination for our passengers for many years. This new connection with easyJet provides more opportunity for passengers to enjoy a city break or even a Disneyland package holiday, booked seamlessly via easyJet holidays or with their local travel agent.”
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said: “Our fantastic new service from Newcastle to Paris will provide our customers in the North East with more travel options than ever before to explore France’s capital and one of Europe’s most popular cities this winter. With package holidays available via easyJet holidays, there’s something for everyone.”
