Seychelles Fire Officers attend Training Academy

Fire Officers from the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority have recently visited the North East to train with us at the Academy.

The delegates undertook some bespoke Supervisor training. After one of our instructors delivered the theorectical training in the Seychelles, they joined us in Newcastle for the practical firefighing elements.

As well as enjoying the training they also managed to spend some time in Newcastle City Centre as well as visiting some of the other sights of the North East.

Tony Larue, one of the Firefighters, said: "The training was up to my expectation and beyond.  I've really learned a lot in incident management and working under pressure.  I've also been given the chance to polish up on my BA techniques."

Newcastle International Airports Commercial Training Manager, John Purdy said "It was a pleasure to be involved with this training, the Fire Officers were a credit to themselves and the Seychelles, they took every opportunity to improve their skills and learn new ones, we look forward to working with them again in the near future"
