Sunderland International Airshow 2013
This year is the 25th anniversary of the Sunderland International Airshow, and Newcastle Airport is proud to be able to provide our help with this great event.
The stunning Roker and Seaburn seafront will once again provide the backdrop to a thrilling line up of flying displays over an action-packed weekend.
With a massive choice of exciting activities and entertainment on the ground, as well as the action in the sky, there promises to be something for everyone to see and do at the Sunderland International Airshow 2013.
As well as the events in Sunderland, Samson Aviation at Newcastle Airport will hold a Charity Community Day on Saturday 27th July to support Samson’s adopted charity – the Alan Shearer Foundation.
Please note you won't be able to see the spectacular Airshow event which takes place over Roker Beach, but you may be able to see some of the aircraft take off and land. The display will start with the Red Arrows at 1pm and close with the RAF Typhoon at 4:45pm.
There will be designated parking at £5 per vehicle, which includes entry into our prize draw. Food and drinks and other refreshments will be available to purchase on the day. We’ll also be holding a prize draw and raffle.
While driving south on the B6918, turn left on to the Airport Freight Road (as marked on the map). Drive up the freight road and you will see the parking area.
Price: £5 per vehicle
All proceeds from the event will go to Samson Aviation's adopted charity, the Alan Shearer Foundation.
