Charity Partner
In January 2025, we announced True Colours Theatre as our official charity partner.
The award-winning charity runs a fully inclusive performing arts school in Wallsend, North Tyneside, where it makes a real difference to the lives of children and young people in the region, many of whom have additional needs.
Its theatre and dance classes provide a safe and supportive environment where its students of all abilities can build confidence, develop friendships, and express themselves creatively without the fear of being judged or discriminated against.
Through this partnership, we raise vital funds for True Colours Theatre through a range of initiatives and our employees take part in dedicated community engagement days at its school.
Founded in 2014, the charity has grown significantly over recent years, and it relocated to Wallsend in 2023 thanks to the help of primetime BBC One show DIY SOS: The Big Build.
During the show, a team of volunteers led by Nick Knowles and Gaby Blackman joined Strictly Come Dancing stars to transform a derelict building into a state-of-the-art school for the charity, consisting of a dance studio, café, sensory room, and sensory garden.
True Colours Theatre’s students have gone on to perform shows across the region, including at the Whitley Bay Playhouse and North Tyneside Together Festival.
