Our Board Members The Newcastle International Airport Board is comprised of representatives from the seven local authorities and InfraBridge. Alice Andreasen Chief Sustainability and Communications Officer Alice joined the business in 2024 as Chief Sustainability and Communications Officer. Previously holding the role of Director of PR & Communications at Parkdean Resorts, Alice has over 20 years’ communications, marketing and environmental experience. Alice also sits on the Newcastle College Board. Cllr Tracey Dixon Non Executive Director Cllr Tracey Dixon is Leader of South Tyneside Council and Vice-Chair of the North East Combined Authority (NECA). She also chairs the NECA Economic Development and Digital Board and is a member of the North East Joint Transport Committee. Graeme Ferguson Non Executive Director Graeme is Head of Airports (Europe) for InfraBridge and was previously Corporate Development Director for the Manchester Airports Group. He trained as a solicitor and was an associate of Allen & Overy LLP working on project finance initiatives across a broad spectrum of infrastructure sectors. Mark Hunt Chief Financial Officer Mark Hunt joined the Airport in 2017 and is responsible for the Finance, HR, IT, Property and Business Support departments. Most recently, Mark was UK Finance Director at Northgate PLC, a FTSE-250 Support Services PLC. Mark qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in 2002. Nick Jones Chief Executive Officer Nick Jones joined the Airport in 2015 becoming Chief Executive in 2016. Before joining the Airport, Nick spent six years at private equity backed Aesica Pharmaceuticals; prior to which he spent 13 years at PwC where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant before becoming a Corporate Finance Director. Richard Knight Chief Operating Officer Richard joined the Airport in 2012 and is Chief Operating Officer. He is responsible for aviation development, commercial activities and operations.Richard spent 27 years in the RAF flying the Tornado F3. He was deployed across the globe before finishing his flying career in the Falkland Islands. David Rees Non Executive Director David represents InfraBridge and has over 35 years of experience in infrastructure businesses. He has been a senior board member of many portfolio operating companies including Angel Trains, Alpha Trains, Wales & West Gas Network, Thames Water and London Luton Airport. Justin Symonds Non Executive Director Justin represents Infrabridge and has over 30 years of investment management, investment banking and strategic advisory experience with corporate, financial and government clients in the transport and infrastructure sector.He also represents Infrabridge as a Non-Executive Director of London Luton
