Babies & Children
Newcastle airport is a child friendly airport. Whether your little ones want to go and buy their favourite comic or get some treats from Biza (tax and duty free, of course), there are many ways to keep your children entertained. Not forgetting the great view of the airfield from the departure lounge - the perfect spot to watch planes navigate the skies, and keep both children and parents fascinated.
There are four baby-change stations situated throughout the airport – two before security and two once you've been cleared. They are all clearly signed and located alongside the toilets. There is also a Boots in the departure lounge, just in case you forgot to bring some spare nappies!
With its more arcade atmosphere, the GameGrid will draw in many older children. There are dance mats, slot machines, an air hockey table, and even a soccer machine where you can brush up on your goal scoring skills. Just make sure your children want to leave in time for their flight...
Biza Tax and Duty Free
Biza stocks an impressive range of sweets, travel games and toys for children, providing the opportunity to keep children entertained both on the ground and at 35,000ft! New offers are available instore all the time, so make sure to check them out.
Most of our food outlets cater for children's tastes with a range of baby feeding facilities and children's meals. Real Food Company has a pièce de résistance for children - a chocolate fountain where fruit kebabs or muffins can be dipped in molten chocolate right in front of their eyes!
Stationery and creative material can be bought here to make sure the children are kept entertained while you wait for the flight, or on the journey itself. A Crayola selection is available alongside children’s books, magazines and colouring books.
