Works on the A184 Whitemare Pool Interchange will commence on 1st February 2010, and will be completed in August of this year.
Work will take place from 07.00- 19.00, Monday to Friday, occasionally some work will be done overnight and at weekends.
During the works, the A184 (Newcastle Road) near Whitemare Pool will be reduced to one narrow lane in each direction with a contraflow operating over the interchange. There will be a 30mph speed limit in place. The bus gate on the A184 Newcastle Road, west of Whitemare Pool Interchange will be closed.
The circulatory carriageway on the roundabout will be reduced to two narrow lanes and the A194 southbound and A194M northbound approached to the interchange will have a 50mph speed restriction in place.
Passengers travelling to the airport should allow extra time if their route passes these works.
