Thomas Cook Airlines has added more flights to its most popular destinations this summer, from Newcastle Airport, to cater for those people in the region who wish to book a late summer getaway. Holidaymakers looking to travel to Alicante or Malaga will now have a greater choice of flight options.
Over the summer period, Thomas Cook Airlines is expecting to transport approximately 200,000 travellers to 31 holiday destinations, such as Alicante, Bourgas in Bulgaria and Sharm-el-Sheikh. The airline has two Boeing 757 aircraft based at the airport, which carries 235 passengers.
Frank Pullman, Managing Director of Thomas Cook Airlines, said: “Holidays abroad have proven to be as popular as ever amongst those who have chosen to travel from Newcastle Airport. With two aircraft based at the airport, it has enabled us to be more flexible so that we can add flights where we feel there is sufficient customer demand.”
