Newcastle International Airport is proud to work alongside the NSPCC as our official charity. We work very closely with them on several projects in the North East and fully support the excellent job they do for our children.
The NSPCC
For over 120 years the NSPCC has been the UK's leading charity specialising in child protection and the prevention of cruelty to children in England, Wales and the Northern Ireland. They campaign for better protection for children, contribute to government policy and legislation to prevent the abuse and exploitation of children.
The NSPCC launched the FULL STOP Campaign and the Appeal in March 1999 with the aim to end cruelty to children within a generation. The appeal target is £250 million, money that will enable the NSPCC to implement its far-reaching strategy. The NSPCC plan is based on practical solutions outlined in five key programme areas that focus on different areas of a child's life; from protecting the child, to nurturing the child in the family, to addressing young people's issues in school, the local community and wider society.
